AUBURN — Ella Lavigne paced Central Maine Community College with 21 points in an 83-45 women’s basketball victory over Community College of Rhode Island on Saturday.

Rosa Prieto and Riley Hebler each had 13 points for the Mustangs in the victory, which was the 300th of head coach Andrew Morong’s tenure.

Nysia Ortiz led the Knights with 14 points and Stephanie Walker had 11.

BATES 62, TUFTS 60: Elsa Daulerio’s layup with one second left gave the Bobcats (16-2, 4-0 NESCAC) the win over the Jumbos (10-6, 2-2 NESCAC) in Lewiston.

Daulerio led Bates with 19 points while Morgan Kennedy had 13 and Alexandra Long had 12.

Maggie Russell had a game-high 24 points for Tufts, to go along with 10 rebounds. Sofia Gonzalez chipped in with 14 points.

UMPI 55, UMF 52: Alexis Ireland and Olivia Gray led the Owls (7-6) with 14 points apiece in a win over the Beavers (6-11) in Presque Isle.

Ireland also had 20 rebounds for UMaine-Presque Isle.

Jessica Dow had a game-high 19 points for UMaine-Farmington and Jaycie Stevens had 12.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
UMF 92, UMPI 87, OT: Jason Reynolds paced the Beavers (10-8) with 24 points in an overtime victory over the Owls (7-10) in Presque Isle.

Dylan Griffin helped out with 21 points and 16 rebounds and Jordan Anthony had 16 points for UMaine-Farmington. Zachary Mickle dropped in 13 points and Ethan Forrester had 10.

Dany Harris led all scorers with 25 points for UMaine-Presque Isle, while Gilbert Jean Mendez had 16 and Doug McCalla notched 12.

TUFTS 83, BATES 62: Joshua Bernstein led the Jumbos (14-4, 1-3 NESCAC) with 16 points in a NESCAC victory over the Bobcats (2-15, 0-4 NESCAC) in Medford, Massachusetts.

Khai Champion helped with the balanced attack with 14 points while Scott Gyimesi and James Morakis each had 11.

Babacar Pouye led Bates with 15 points, with Marc Begin II recording 13. Simon McCormick had 12 points and Peter Psyhogeos finished with 10.
