Robert B. Hutchinson

LEWISTON – Robert B. Hutchinson, 79, of Auburn, died Jan. 21, 2024, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 6, 1944, to Sidney A. and Lucie E. Hutchinson and grew up in Mechanic Falls. Robert served six years in the Army National Guard. He belonged for 50 years in the United Commercial Travelers, Past Grand Councilor, and the Perkins Ridge Snow Travelers.

Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating and family outings at camp on Tripp Lake in Poland. He worked for Union Sheet Metal Workers for 53 years and drove for Rowe Ford and Discount Daves for 10 years.

Robert is predeceased by a brother, Frederick Hutchinson, Daughter, Penny Myrick and a sister, Lois Nason and his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years to Nancy, two sons, Glenn A. Hutchinson and R. Scott Hutchinson of Wisconsin, son-in-law Jim Myrick of Auburn, brother James Hutchinson and wife JoAnn of Mechanic Falls.

A celebration of life will be held next summer at camp at Tripp Lake.
