Feb. is jam packed with sweets here at Treat Memorial Library, 56 Main Street, Livermore Falls. We’ll have visitors throughout the month to help you with career advice, technology assistance, and canine cuddles. (Not all at the same time, unfortunately.) We’ll also be offering our usual programs as well.

Do you need a cabin fever reliever? We’ll be having a Paint and Snack on Feb. 3, from noon to 2 p.m. Paint and Snack is our equivalent to a Paint and Sip night for all ages. We’ll have delicious treats to snack on while you choose your own painting project.

There will be options for all skill and age levels. You can paint along with Alana or do a free painting and create your own masterpiece. Due to limited capacity in our auditorium, we ask that you email Alana at assist.treatlib@gmail.com or call 207-897-3631 to reserve seats.

You asked and we listened. Knit/Crochet is now EVERY Tuesday, starting at 5:30 p.m. Bring your own project or learn along with your library staff. Every level of learner is welcome. We have yarn, needles, hooks, and lots of helpful books.

Speaking of weekly programs, have questions about your smart phone, tablet, or computer? Curious about protecting yourself from scams? Interested in learning more about online banking or telehealth? Ernie Steward from Spruce Mountain Adult Education will be joining us for Technology sessions every Friday for the month of Feb.. Call or come into the library to sign up for a session to ask Ernie.

Book Club will hold a hybrid meeting (both Zoom and in person) on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. We will be discussing The Assistants by Camille Perri, as part of the ‘Overlooked Books’ series. Please let staff know if you would like a copy of the book up for discussion.

Our home school group will be meeting Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 11:30 a.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. Attend whichever meeting best fits your schedule or come to both. We have activity stations for ALL age groups that encourage learning and creative play. Come see what we’ll learn about this month. All are welcome and no sign-up is required.

Alana from the Wilton Career Center will be joining us on Friday, Feb. 9 at 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. No appointments are needed. Stop in for assistance with job search, resumes, locating registered apprenticeships, training and education assistance, veteran’s services, and more.

We’re all about love here at the library, puppy love. We’ll be having visits from Love on Leash for a Tails and Tales time. Come visit with Finn, Silas, and Benny (and their lovely handlers.) You can read them a story (they LOVE stories) or just relax with some nice petting. Our furry friends will be visiting Thursday, Feb. 15h and Thursday, Feb. 29 from 4 to 5 p.m.

We’ll be having a Lego Explorers Club meeting on Saturday, Feb. 17th at 10:30 a.m. It’s a space for kids to engage in creative STEAM activities, experiments, and challenges with a special focus on Legos. Participate in a challenge or do your own thing. After the club, we’ll display the finished creations for everyone to admire.

The library will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 20, in observance of President’s Day. (Remember, if there is a state or federal holiday on a Monday, we will be closed on Tuesday to observe the holiday.)

Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., we will have Story Time inside at the library. Join us for our favorite picture books, sing-a-longs, and other activities.
