NORWAY — To offer support to a beloved, 139-year-old institution, Norway Savings Bank was pleased to present Norway Memorial Library with a donation of $2,800 on Jan. 16 to assist in the replacement of the library’s roof.

The contribution is being made to the library’s Annual Fund, which was set up in 2001 to enhance and improve services and to maintain the building and grounds of the library, which is located at 258 Main Street.

“Donations like this to the Annual Fund mean we do not have to defer maintenance,” said Mary DeLano, the library’s president. “The library is not a tired old building, but vital and well-maintained. These donations make all the difference.”

Norway Savings Bank is a frequent supporter of the library’s mission to provide beneficial programs to the wider community, including donations to help the library’s summer reading program.

“Norway Savings Bank has long recognized the value that Norway Memorial Library brings to the area, and we are grateful to be able to help the library continue to offer valuable resources and experiences to countless residents and visitors each year,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank.
