AUBURN — Bank of America invested $918,000 across Maine in 2023 through philanthropic grants, loans and sponsorships.

The amount included $25,000 to Good Shepherd Food Bank.

“Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine is proud to continue our partnership with Bank of America, working hand in hand to create a hunger-free Maine,” Georgia Jenkins, corporate and foundation relations officer for the food bank, said. “Our state has one of the highest rates of hunger in New England and we are hearing of more and more Mainers who are having trouble due to rising costs, a reduction in SNAP benefits, and other impactful economic factors. Together, we can make a lasting impact in the fight to end hunger.”
