RANGELEY — Winterpaloozah! is planned from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, against the backdrop of the Rangeley Lakes Region’s Haley Pond and the Town Park.
Register for all competitions at business.rangeleymaine.com or at the welcome table outside the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Information Center.
Cardboard sled racing will kick off at 11 a.m. with sled judging at 10:30 a.m. near the Pavilion behind the Rangeley Inn, this event will showcase sled designs on Haley Pond. Registration is available online or sign up the day of the event.
Free skating and curling on Haley Pond will be available. Free ice skates rentals will be available at Rangeley Adventure Co.; the ice is open for all.
Buoy Ball, Firewood Toss, and Saucer Bowling are set to start at 11 a.m., the Town Park offers events for participants of all ages.
Dog Keg Pull Races will begin at 1:30 p.m. Register dogs online or at the welcome table outside the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Information Center, cost is $20 per dog.
Horse and Carriage Rides will be ongoing. Take a ride between locations or take in the town’s scenic beauty, with pick-up and drop-off points in front of the Post Office and Rangeley Adventure Company.
A campfire, marshmallow roasting, and hot drinks available for purchase at the Town Park and Haley Pond Park.
Winterpaloozah! is a free event (excluding the Dog Keg Pull), but donations will be accepted. All proceeds go to the Rangeley Skating Club and the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce, the event hosts.
