AUBURN — Shayna Newton and Callum Piper paced the Edward Little Unified basketball team to a 66-51 victory over Leavitt on Tuesday.
Newton put up a game-high 20 points and Piper scored 16 for the Red Eddies.
The Hornets were led by Bradin Dingwell and Gabriel Bourgoin, who scored 12 points each.
OXFORD HILLS 47, EDWARD LITTLE 46: The Vikings edged the Red Eddies in a Unified basketball game on Monday in Auburn.
Oxford Hills was led by eight points apiece from Brody Jenkins and Nicholas Cronin-Ring.
Edward Little also had a trio of eight-point scorers: Arianna Steinmentz, Nick Gravel and Cody Oldham.
BOYS HOCKEY
CHEVERUS/YARMOUTH 6, MT. ARARAT/LISBON/MORSE/HYDE 3: David Swift scored twice as Cheverus/Yarmouth (11-2-1) defeated the Eagles (0-13-1) at The Colisee in Lewiston.
Quinn McCoy, Cooper Jacobs, Hakon Yeo and Sam Bradford also scored in the win.
Kevin Hawkes scored twice for the Mt. Ararat co-op, and Tristan Huot had one puck find the back of the net.
Ethan Tucker made 15 saves for Cheverus/Yarmouth, and Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde goalie Kai Stockford stopped 23 shots.
CONY/MONMOUTH/ERSKINE/MT. BLUE/RICHMOND 3, JOHN BAPST/HERMON/BANGOR CHRISTIAN/DEER ISLE-STONINGTON 2: Caiden Kelley scored the tying and game-winning goals in the Rams’ (10-5) victory over the Crusaders (6-7-1) at Sawyer Arena in Bangor.
Owen Maryatt and Will Bourgeois gave the John Bapst co-op a 2-0 advantage.
Ray Dineen cut the Cony co-op’s deficit in half midway through the second period. Kelley netted his first goal in the second period, then scored on a power play in the third.
Bangor goalie Landon Foster made 21 saves, while Cony’s Kaiden Kinney stopped 18 shots.
