WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
CENTRAL MAINE CC 65, SOUTHERN MAINE CC 57: The Mustangs (24-1, 14-0 Yankee Small College) sped to a 28-22 halftime lead and defeated the Seawolves (18-7, 9-4) on Wednesday in South Portland.

Rangeley grad Winnie LaRochelle scored 14 points in 16 minutes to lead Central Maine Community College. Ella Lavigne and Destiny Mora Lopez added 12 each. Oxford Hills grad Molly Corbett and Edward Little grad Chantel Ouellette both scored eight.

Aija Andrews finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for SMCC.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
SMCC 72, CMCC 66: Dirigo grad scored 11 points off the bench to help the Seawolves (19-6, 10-3 YSCC) hold off the Mustangs (11-13, 6-7) in South Portland.

Leavitt grad Wyatt Hathaway scored 15 points for Central Maine, which trailed 31-30 at halftime and by as much as 18 in the second half. Boston Caldwell led all scorers with 21 points.

Cayman Warburton and Randy Vasquez paced Southern Maine with 14 points apiece.
