I write in response to Ellen Fields’ letter (“Trump shows signs of early dementia,” Feb. 7).

She would have us believe that Donald Trump has dementia because of a few slip of the tongue miscues. Let’s compare that to President Biden, shall we?

In the last few weeks Biden has said that after being elected president he went to a G-7 meeting and spoke with German leader Francois Mitterrand. Mitterrand was the leader of France, not Germany, and died before Biden took office.

In a recent gaffe he confused the leaders of Mexico and Egypt, saying Abdel Fattah al-Sisi did not want to open up the gates and let humanitarian materiel into Gaza. That’s our sharp-as-a-tack leader.

How many times have we watched him fall up stairs or walking across a stage or riding a bike? How many times has he told Gold Star families that he knows exactly how they feel, because his son Beau came home in a flag draped coffin too? His son died here in the states with his family by his side, not fighting a war, and the press lets him get away with it.

How many times will he tell us the border is secure and the economy is great?

Wouldn’t it be great if the left used the same measuring stick on him that they do on Trump. That will never happen, because Trump Derangement Syndrome is real and deep in the Democratic Party. Trump lives rent-free in their heads.
