Envision Rumford, in collaboration with the towns of Rumford and Mexico, is hosting a resource fair for those affected by the December flooding.

The event is set for 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Mountain Valley High School, 799 Hancock St.

Eight organizations will provide a brief overview of the types of assistance they can provide in the school auditorium, and then attendees can circulate in the adjacent cafeteria and speak with each organization, to learn more and ask specific questions about their circumstances.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, Small Business Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency and National Resources Conservation Service, United Way, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Community Concepts and Oxford County Mental Health Services will all be represented at the event.

Homeowners, renters, businesses, non-profits, farmers, and anyone who only had damage to their private driveway can learn about available assistance.

Kevin Jamison of Envision Rumford will moderate, and the first speaker will be state Sen. Lisa Keim of Maine 19th District.
