Linda Sherman

Fontaine Family — The Real Estate Leader has hired Joseph Vari and Linda Sherman to its Auburn office.

Vari, originally from Youngstown, Ohio, now a resident of Lewiston, has spent over two decades in college coaching. He has served as the head women’s soccer coach at Bates College since 2019, where his commitment to developing students on and off the field has been evident.

His journey in coaching across four different states — from Washington to Maine, with stops in Tennessee and Virginia — has honed his leadership and team-building skills and also sparked a deep interest in real estate and home renovations. Vari grew up in a family involved in real estate, with his mother still selling homes and managing rentals in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Sherman is from West Bend, Iowa, and lives in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. She has spent much of her career as a copy editor for a national auto finance company based in Dallas, Texas.

Transitioning to real estate after moving to New Hampshire in 2016, she obtained her New Hampshire real estate license and has since been involved in the real estate market, initially part-time while continuing her role in auto finance.
