ANSWER: The WLU Prom Gown Giveaway is a great event and I want to thank all the members who work so hard to make it happen and all the people who donate gowns.
If you’re dropping off gowns at the businesses listed above, be sure to call first to check on open hours.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: My elderly mom has a Lane rocker-recliner (not power) that still looks brand new. However, after 20 years, the mechanism under the chair has broken down and it doesn’t rock or swivel as it should. We are looking for someone who can replace or repair the mechanism. I would appreciate recommendations from your readers.
ANSWER: I believe the Chair Doctor, John Leavitt, in Turner can help you. Give him a call and see what he can do: 225-2293.
If anyone else has recommendations, let us know!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have two antique table clocks whose cases are in excellent condition but they do not work. I’m interested in selling them and am looking for reputable dealers who may be willing to look at them. Thank you for helping so many people. — Mary, no town
