Expect lots of clouds on Wednesday with an occasional break of sun. Most areas will be in the 50s, but the coastline will cool down quicker than the coastline towards this afternoon due to a southerly onshore wind.

Clouds will be dominate Wednesday before turning wet towards the evening commute hours.

This next system will be mostly overnight into Thursday, bringing rain to most and wet snow farther north.

Thursday morning will feature a wet morning commute for most, as heavy rain will continue towards the evening.

Now, cooler temps will slowly drain into Maine as precipitation ends from north to south. Some inland towns may end with wet snowflakes. This will continue all day Thursday.

Most areas along the coastline will see close to 1.5 inches of rain.

Conditions will turn gusty for the coastline and inland areas Thursday. Expect a north wind of 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Friday is when we get a break with mostly sunny conditions and mild temps. That day will probably be our brightest and temps will get a boost into the mid 40s.

Expect clouds to thicken on Saturday ahead of our next weather maker for Sunday. Still several days out, but it’s still looking like rain will be the dominant type of precipitation on Sunday for the coastal plain. The hills and mountains have the best chance for a snow storm.
