Dolores M. “Del” Couturier
AUBURN – Dolores M. “Del” Couturier (nee LeBlanc), passed away peacefully on March 6, 2024, at the age of 81, at Androscoggin Hospice House with her family by her side. She was born on Jan. 18, 1943, in Lewiston.
Del was a beloved mother survived by her children, Louise Hamner, Jean Paul Couturier, Edward Couturier, and Shirley Dixon-Sargent. She was also cherished by her nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Del was preceded in death by her husband, Louis G. Couturier and her son Donald Richard Couturier.
Del was known for her fun loving personality, her love of life, and her giving heart.
In her free time, Del enjoyed playing bingo, creating diamond art, and socilizing with her friends and family. She was a devout Catholic who attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Lewiston where she found solace and connection through her faith.
Del’s final service will be held at Fortin Group Funeral Home, 217 Turner St., AUBURN, with a time of visitation on Friday March 8, from 4-7 p.m., and a Liturgy of the Word on Saturday March 9, at 11 a.m., at The Fortin Group Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
Del will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live in the hearts and in the ones she loved and who loved her in return.
