Maine Department of of Transportation workers lay down fill Monday afternoon on Sawyer Road in Greene where a small brook overflowed and washed out a section over the weekend. According to officials on scene, the section was scheduled to be reconstructed in the near future but the damage may move it up on the list. The road will remain closed between Hot Dog Lane and Saborn Road for the next few days, but could reopen to one lane sometime later this week. Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal
