FAYETTE — Kennebec Land Trust’s Parker Pond Headland Preserve, on Fellows Cove Road, is temporarily closed to hikers during mud season (March to April/May).
The Fellows Cove Road is only open to homeowners to minimize the impacts on the road.
During mud season, KLT recommends hikers instead visit the nearby Ezra Smith Conservation Area in Mount Vernon, Torsey Pond Nature Preserve or Rosmarin & Saunders Family Forest in Readfield, or Hutchinson Pond in Manchester.
