Bates College sophomore Elsa Daulerio was named to the D3hoops.com All-American Fourth Team on Saturday.

The 6-foot-3 Daulerio was the Bobcats’ second-leading scorer with a 13.6 points per game average. She blocked 64 shots, which ranked 20th in the country, and led Bates in rebounding (7.8 per game) and shot a team-best .487 from the field.

She had eight double-doubles, including a 20-point, 20-rebound effort in the Bobcats’ win over Brooklyn College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament, and was one rebound short of another double-double in the second round, scoring 15 points and grabbing nine boards against Widener.

The D3hoops All-American honor is the latest recognition for Daulerio. Earlier this week, she earned Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America honorable mention and was selected for the D3hoops.com All-Region 1 First Team. Over the past few weeks, she has also been named first-team All-NESCAC, and first-team All-State by the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

Daulerio is the fifth Bates player named All-American by D3hoops.com. The Bobcats now have had a player on the D3hoops teams three consecutive years. Meghan Graff was picked for the second team in 2022 and the fifth team last year.

CMCC DROPS PAIR: Central Maine Community College wrapped up its week in Pennsylvania with a pair of 11-7 losses to Penn State Mont Alto.

Both games started rough for the Mustangs (10-11-1), as the Nittany Lions plated four runs in the first inning of the opener, and five in the first inning of the second game.

In the first game, CMCC regained the lead, 5-4, with a four-run third inning, and extended it to 7-4 in the top of the fifth. But as happened a couple other times throughout the week, the Mustangs couldn’t hold their late lead, this time giving up six runs in the bottom of the sixth.

CMCC finished the second game strong, scoring five runs in the sixth and seventh innings combined, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a 10-2 deficit.

Garren Post, Colton Frisbie and Andrew Trombley had two hits apiece for the Mustangs in the second game. One of Post’s hits was a double. Trombley and Derek Roman doubled in the second game.

For Mont Alto, Garrett Rosenberry drove in three runs in the first game, and Caiden Smith drove in three in the second.

CMCC lost all six of its games in Pennsylvania this week.
