ANDOVER – Paula Smith, 82, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, in Greenwood. She was a resident of Andover.

Paula was born in Dixfield, on May 27, 1941, and was a daughter of Warren and Gertrude (Stowell) Percival. She was a graduate of Shelby High School in North Carolina. She worked as a bus driver and librarian for SAD 44. She was a member of Republican National Convention, Maine GOP and Tree Farmer’s Association.

She was married to William B. Smith. She is survived by her sons, Joshua Putnam and fiancé Beckie of Greenwood, John Putnam and wife Sonja of North Carolina, and Joel Putnam of California, stepdaughters, Karen Gowan and husband Sam of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Janet Russo of Masachusetts, stepson Billy Smith of Massachusetts, sister Pamela Percival of Clearwater, Fla, brothers, David Percival of Andover, and John and wife Linda of Andover, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Eddie Putnam and a grandson Joshua William Putnam.
