Francis Eugene Duguay

AUBURN – Francis Eugene Duguay, 79, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Clover Manor.

Francis was born in Lewiston on Oct. 25, 1944, a son to Joseph and Josephine Duguay. He was raised in Auburn and attended Auburn schools.

He met Lorraine (Ouellette) Duguay in 1984 and the two were married for 36 wonderful years.

During in his working years, Francis spent over 20 years driving a recycling truck for Auburn Public Works. In his free time, Francis could be found riding the roads on his red bike or spending quality time with his many friends or family. He also loved music and dancing, and did everything with a smile on his face.

Francis was a proud Catholic and was a longtime member of the Greene Baptist Church.

Francis was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife, Lorraine; and his siblings Cathy Carney and Phil Duguay.

He leaves behind his three children, Russell Duguay, Tina Cook and husband Dan, Donna Bryant and husband Dan; his siblings Sue Vachon, Jerry and Linda Duguay, George and Cindy Duguay and Trish Springer. He also leaves behind five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Francis had a love for animals and also leaves behind his cat, Bandit.

A memorial visitation for Francis will be held Saturday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A memorial service will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Greene Baptist Church, 102 Main St., Greene, ME 04236.
