WEST PARIS — As spring brings change from one season to the next, so does change occur in our everyday lives. Let’s embrace change with all of its challenges as we share in Sunday services. Join us on Sundays at 9 a.m. Music performed by guitarist, Davy Sturtevant. All are welcome. Refreshments will follow the services.

April 7, ‘Earth Day Celebration’ led by the church’s worship service committee. We are stewards of the Earth, and we will focus this Sunday service on what we can do to help Mother Earth. A slide show will be part of the service on Bird-Friendly Maple Habitats. (Earth Day is on April 22)

April 14, ‘The Three Most Important Days in the Christian Calendar’ led by guest speaker, Bruce Tyner. After graduating from Farmington State College and moving to West Paris to teach Grade six in 1963, he spent the next 30 years in various teaching and administrative positions in The Oxford Hills School District. Since retirement in 1993, he has worked as a caregiver for his 105-year-old grandmother, served as pastor of Rumford First Baptist, West Paris, and North Paris Baptist Churches. My most notable experience in life has been my 63 years living as husband and friend of Jean Herrick Tyner who left my home and this world in October 2023.

April 21, Our church members will be joining the south Paris Universalist congregation this Sunday in south Paris at 9:30 a.m.

April 28, ‘Poetry and the Soul’ led by Rodney Abbott who will talk about how poetry expresses both the silly and the profound in human existence. A frequent speaker at the First Universalist Church of West Paris, most of us know Rodney Abbott who taught in area schools for decades.
