HARTFORD, Conn. — Trinity started strong and maintained the lead for the remainder of Friday’s 11-4 NESCAC college baseball victory over Bates College.

The Bantams (6-8) plated three runs in the first inning. The Bobcats (8-6) scored three in the top of the sixth, but Trinity added four more in the bottom half of the inning.

Chris Cimino, Brandon Biggane and Henry Prince scored the sixth inning runs for Bates and Jack Brennan added the fourth and final run in the ninth inning.

William Frain recorded a game-high three hits for Trinity, while a trio of Bobcats logged two hits — Dylan Azacárate, Prince and Gibby Sullivan.

Luke Linnehan (2-1) pitched 5.2 innings for Bates and Ian Brown (1-1) pitched 5.1 innings for Trinity.
