Rozan Truman

MECHANIC FALLS – Rozan “Rosie” Truman 83 of Mechanic Falls has peacefully passed on to be with her Lord and Savior on March 18, 2024.

Rozan was a strong, kind, loving and generous woman with an adventurous zest for life. She was always on the go and ready for any adventure. She cherished spending time with her family at any opportunity. She had a close group of lady, friends and enjoyed, having gatherings and playing dominoes with them. She loved to entertain and was the most gracious of hosts. She enjoyed cooking and baking and found much pleasure in sharing her delicious goods. She had a passion for sewing quilting, crocheting, knitting, and crafting. Always wanting to learn something new, she excelled at anything she put her mind to. She has touched the lives of so many people and was loved by most who had the opportunity to know her.

Rozan had been a long time dedicated, active member of the American Legion. She served in multiple areas, including serving on the house committee, treasurer, chaplin, colorguard, sergeant of arms, as well as speaking at Memorial Day events. She served on the entertainment committee and cooked for countless benefits and functions.

Rozan was also an active member of Grace fellowship church of Oxford, Maine. Although she didn’t serve on any committees, she was involved with the music and worship portion, singing and running equipment. She also volunteered for many years as a youth teacher for vacation Bible school, as well as being a regular attendee at the Ladies for God meetings. She helped with the public suppers and in any area that she was needed. She loved her church family and was blessed by the many close relationships she had made.

Rozan was preceded in death by the love of her life Richard “Sonny” Truman; mother, Bertha “Rusty” Crouse; brother, Ronald Haney; granddaughter, Billy-Jo Smith; sister-in-law, Betty Jackson; niece, Heidi Haney and nephew, Ronald Haney Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Micklon: Tamara Walker and her husband, Daryl; Pamela Belanger and her husband, Steve; Chantelle Withee and her husband, Chris; brother Albert Lake and his wife, Crystal; seven grandsons, Nicholaus, Jason, Derick, Jacob, Joshua, Gabriel and Jordan; three granddaughters, Christy, Valerie and Cassandra; nine great-grandchildren; Sutapacha, Haley, Olivia, Cian, Astrid, Kaydence, Hazel, Avery and Gracelynn; nieces, Julie and Shelley; nephews, Phillip, Andrew and Brent.

A celebration of life will be held for Rozan at the American Legion Post 150 in Mechanic Falls on May 18, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. All are welcome to come celebrate the amazing life she lived.

If desired, memorial contributions can be made to your local animal shelter as she had a deep

love for animals.
