AUBURN — It is with great pleasure that McG United Soccer Academy welcomes back Don Plourde, a dynamic coach, to the staff. Coach Plourde is a Lewiston High School and St Joseph’s College alumnus who played both soccer and baseball at the varsity level. He is presently the baseball coach at Cony High School.

This summer’s session will take place at the Lewiston-Auburn Youth Soccer Association fields behind Auburn Middles School on Falcon Drive in Auburn. This year’s dates are July 22-26.

Returning coaches, Butch Dow, Eric Wagner (Swarthmore College), Dan Gish, Abdijabaar Hersi, Caleb Leino and Mike McGraw will be on staff with selected college and high school players as councilors.

There are discounts for those who may want to register by May 15 and July 1. Also there is a school discount for any elite group of five or more players who come from the same team. Elite players are those 12 and older. This is a program that runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Younger players ages 5-7 years old can participate in a morning program that starts at 9-11:30 a.m. Players 8-11 years old participate in an all day program that starts at 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
