Brenda J. Harrington

AUBURN – Brenda J. Harrington, 83, a lifelong resident of Turner, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn.

She was born Jan. 19, 1941, in Turner, the daughter of Stanley and Rowena (McLaughlin) Jordan. She was a 1959 graduate of Leavitt Institute.

On April 10, 1959, in Leeds, she married David Harrington, they made their home and raised their family in Turner.

Brenda was the office manager of the family business, Dave’s Roofing and Siding. She was a member of Wayside Bible Baptist Church in Livermore. She enjoyed sewing reversible bags for children to use to carry their belongings in and was active in the shoe box committee that provided school supplies for children in foreign countries.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, David W. Harrington, Sr. of Turner; sons David Harrington, Jr. of Auburn, and Kent Harrington and wife Ann of Canton, her daughter, Kelly Jean Lacroix of Turner; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers Larry Jordan of Greene, Gary Jordan of Florida, and Danny Jordan of Turner, and her sister, Shirley Nabozny of Ariz.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, April 5 at Wayside Bible Baptist Church, 1724 Federal Rd., in Livermore. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, North Parish Road, in Turner. Arrangements by Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., in Livermore Falls.
