History: Established March 20, 1880, by local teacher Hettie Bearce, it was one of the earliest women’s clubs in the state. A member of the State Federation of Women’s Clubs since 1892 and the National Federation since 1908.
When: Meets at 2 p.m. the first Monday of each month, September-December and March-June.
Coming soon: The May meeting will be chamber singers at the Auburn United Methodist Church.
Membership: The club currently has 36 members, with a capacity of 50; dues are $20 a year.
