Joline M. Brissette

GREENE – Joline M. Brissette, 91, of Greene, died Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the Clover Manor in Auburn, where she had been a resident since the beginning of March. Born in Lewiston, she was the daughter of Onesime and Beatrice Boucher Brochu. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School, class of ‘50, and also took two years of college level business classes. On Dec. 3, 1955, she married the love of her life, Raymond R. Brissette, and they made their home in Lewiston. She worked for many years as an Administrative Secretary for Geiger Brothers, and later for the City of Lewiston. Joline loved playing scrabble and scat with friends and family, and in her younger days loved to go to yard sales and holiday fairs. She had a green thumb, and enjoyed growing flowers and caring for her indoor plants. A devout Catholic, she was a life-long member of Ss. Peter and Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish.

Survivors include two sons, Marcel Brissette and longtime companion Debra Emmons of Lewiston, and Guy Brissette and wife Patricia Betts of Lisbon, a brother, Paul and wife Connie Brochu of Lewiston, a sister, Fern Couture of Lisbon, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Joline was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Brochu, and two sisters, Dianne Somers and Jeanette Lucio. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at the Albert and Burpee Funeral Home on Saturday, April 20, from 9 – 10:30 a.m., followed by a service in the Upper Church of Sts. Peter and Paul Basilica at 11 a.m. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memories may be shared online at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
