Auction

NORWAY — Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main Street in Norway, will be hosting a ticket auction on Saturday, May 11. Viewing will be from 3-5 p.m. with the auction starting at 5:15 p.m. All funds raised will be used to upgrade the sound system in the church. Many gift items, collectibles, antiques, homemade baked goods gift certificates, and more will be available. Save this date, and bring your friends and family to this fun auction event. Food and drinks will be available to purchase during the ticket auction. We will have many ticket envelope options to fit every budget. $1 tickets will be available for special items. 50/50 tickets will also be available! You don’t want to miss this great ticket auction!

Supper

ANDOVER — The First Congregational Church of Andover will host the Annual Birthday Supper on April 27 at 5 o’clock p.m. The menu is ham with pineapple sauce, mashed potato, green beans, rolls, and birthday cakes. Donations accepted.

This has been a tradition for the church ladies for over 65 years. There is a decorated table and a suitable cake for each month, with four extra tables, one for each season.  Come early and check out the decor.

Meetings

WEST PARIS — The Finnish-American Heritage Society of Maine will be holding our Annual Membership Meeting and Members’ Potluck at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 21 at the FinnAm building at 8 Maple Street in West Paris. Bring a favorite dish to share and join us after another long winter.

WEST PARIS — The Finnish Cemetery Association will meet on Tuesday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mission Congregational Church, Church Street, West Paris. Reports will be given and the election of officers held. All persons having connections with the cemetery are urged to attend. If you are interested in joining the association, please join us, we would love to welcome some new members!
