Derwood Norman Martin Sr.

LIVERMORE FALLS – Derwood Norman Martin Sr., 63, of Livermore Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday evening April 5, 2024 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Although born in Bridgeport, Conn., Derwood was raised in rural Maine. Derwood spent much of his time driving the backroads of Maine. Derwood knew Maine’s roads like the back of his own hand, and took pride in spending countless hours driving. Derwood’s love of driving led to a career driving tractor trailers and transporting goods across the east coast.

Derwood will be remembered for his loyalty to his loved ones. He always did his best to be there for them in their time of need. Whether it be fixing a vehicle, giving someone a ride, or providing a listening ear and his opinion, he was there.

He is survived by his siblings, Robert Martin Jr., Ernest Martin, Bruce Martin, and Lisa Martin Auger; his children, Alisha Walker, Christopher Martin, Kristina Martin, Derwood Martin Jr. “DJ”, Rebecca Martin, Kyle Martin, Corey Martin, and Jennifer Martin. He is also survived by his grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, such as Carrie and Bob Stanley Martin.

He was predeceased by his parents Robert Martin Sr. and Rita Martin.

No funeral service will be held.
