LEWISTON – Roger J. St. Pierre, 78, of Lewiston, peacefully passed away on Sunday April 7, 2024 at Marshwood Nursing Home in Lewiston.

He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 13, 1945, a son of the late Phillip and Olivette (Lemire) St. Pierre. He grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools.

After school, Roger proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After leaving the Navy, he came back to Maine and worked for many years in the school system providing custodial services to several buildings and school yards. During that time, he married Francesca Eisenzimmer and they started a family together. Roger was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Pastime Club and the Elks Club.

Roger will always be remembered for his love of playing cribbage, going out to eat, gardening and tending to his tomato plants and raspberry bushes. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his children, Sherri St. Pierre of Portland and Gregory St. Pierre of Hartford. He also leaves behind his brother, Leo St. Pierre of Lewiston; and his granddaughter, Hayley of Hartford.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Francesca; as well as five siblings, Phil, Robert, Ray, Rita and Irene.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Sabattus Street, Lewiston, on Friday April 19 at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.

Arrangements are under the care of Albert and Burpee Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 253 Pine St., Lewiston, 782-7201.

In lieu of flowers, a charitable contribution may be made in Roger’s memory to a charity of choice.
