Tammy L. McLaughlin
LEWISTON – Tammy L. McLaughlin, 57, of Poland passed away on the morning of April 8, 2024, at CMMC in Lewiston following a brief illness. She was born in Calais on April 30, 1966, the daughter of Arthur and Amy (Wilcox) Dennison. She grew up in the Calais area where she attended schools. She was the first female high school player in Maine to score 1000 points and viewed this as one of her greatest accomplishments.
Tammy served her country and community by serving in the Army and Navy Reserves and working several years in law enforcement for the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, the Department of Corrections for Hancock County, MCC, and Vermont DOC.
She will always be remembered for her love of her dogs; Joi, Alee, her niece’s dog, Poppy, and any other dogs she may have encountered. She will be deeply missed by the many friends whom she worked with at Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, and Poland Big Apple.
She is survived by her wife, Linda Hannan of Poland, sister-in-law, Sharon Wilson of Scarborough; her son, Daniel McLaughlin of Orlando, Fla., her stepsons, David and Jason Hannan; step-grandchildren Haylee, Colby, Jaycob, and Kaden Hannan. She was predeceased by her parents and several brothers.
