Lee Roy Strout Sr.

AUBURN – Lee “Roger, Fafa, Pop” Roy Strout Sr. passed away peacefully, on April 20, 2024, enveloped in the comfort of his loved ones, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in our hearts, and he will be missed. Born to Charles R. Strout Sr. and Lottie V. Hewett on Sept. 29, 1935 in Auburn. He met Helen Ann Casey, and they married on Feb. 4, 1960. Together they raised four children, traveling the world together due to his military service. In the U.S. Army, Lee earned two Purple Hearts, and was honorably discharged in 1967.

Their pioneer spirit had them settling down on a 300-year-old homestead 5 Maple Farm in Fayette, Maine that he re-built into their forever home in 1971. Lee (Fafa) loved woodworking, antique cars, New England sports teams, and he so enjoyed an afternoon coffee and taking care of his family. Lee (Roger) is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Lottie Strout, his beloved wife Helen, great-granddaughter Jillian Morrell. and his siblings Charles Jr, Paul, William, Nettie, Lawrence, Robert, Eleanor, and Joseph. Lee(Fafa) is survived by his daughter Roxanne (Jack) Turner, Regina (Timothy) Frailey, sons Lee Jr (Nahir), Daniel Strout and his partner Judi Pancione; his grandchildren Helen Minoty, Erin (Nate) Ward, Ashley (Ryan) Dawson, Nathaniel Richards, Brittany, Taylar Frailey, Jordan, Lee Strout III, Jack Turner, Shyanne (Dylan) Smith, great-grandchildren: Viviane (Dylan) Minoty, Lillian, Larrie Minoty, Austen, Jakob Oulette, Madelain, Sophie Morrell, Elizabeth, Xavier, Jackson, Arrow Ward, Eoghan, Charlotte Gochenour and Sailor Strout and his brother Richard Strout. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2024, at Moose Hill Cemetery, Livermore Falls, Maine. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
