OTISFIELD — The Christian Motorcyclists Association, a nonprofit interdenominational organization, plans to host its annual Run for the SON fundraiser on Saturday, May 4.
Chapters from around New England and guests are invited to gather at Field of Faith on Lodge Hill, 437 Bean Road; free of charge.
Owner Ken Hawley has offered his property for the gathering.
The goal is fellowship and fundraising, bringing greater awareness of CMA’s effort for worldwide ministry.
According to its website, the Hatfield, Arkansas-based association is dedicated to reaching people for Christ around the world, changing the world, one heart at a time.
In its 36 years, it has raised $99.8 million for world missions.
Stan Bumpus of Norway, president of Redeemed Rides of Oxford, said the program for May 4 will include sharing what CMA is doing to support world missions. There will be an offering basket for those who want to donate.
The event will also include live praise and worship, a video or speaker to share the association’s mission, Christian testimonies, bike blessings and prayer.
Arrival time is 11 a.m., however earlier arrivals are welcome in order to help with setup.
Lunch will be provided by the Redeemed Riders.
People do not have to ride a motorcycle to get involved.
