LISBON — Lisbon rebounded from Telstar’s big fifth inning by storming back in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with a 10-9 win in an MVC softball matchup Wednesday.

After the Rebels scored seven runs in the fifth inning to seize control, the Greyhounds stormed back with a five-run bottom of the seventh.

Aubriana Bright and Alivia Field both hit doubles for Lisbon (2-2). Amelia Harvey tallied two hits and Field chipped in three.

Harvey pitched all seven innings for Lisbon, tallying six strikeouts.

Telstar’s (1-3) Sarah Chase hit a triple and Viv Charette tallied two hits. Maylyn Hastings struck out two batters in 6 1/3 innings for the Rebels.

OXFORD HILLS 11, MESSALONSKEE 1 (5 INN.): Maddy Miller hit a double and a triple for the Vikings, leading them to victory over the Eagles in Paris.

Kyeria Morse pitched all five innings for Oxford Hills (3-1), racking up eight strikeouts, and she logged two doubles at the plate, complimented by doubles from Samantha McPhail and Cameron Mayhan.

Olivia Thomas hit a single for Messalonskee’s (1-3) lone hit against Morse. Maddie Wilson pitched for 3 1/3 innings, recording two strikeouts.

OAK HILL 23, WINTHROP/MARANACOOK 13 (5 INN.): The Raiders (3-0) scored multiple runs in every inning, including a nine-run fourth, in a high-scoring five-inning win over Maranacook/Winthrop (1-2) in Wales.

Ava Rivet led the charge with five hits, three RBIs and four runs scored for Oak Hill. Carlee Austin had three hits, including a double, and three RBIs. Aubrey McElhaney and Izzy Whitaker each hit a triple and a single, with Whitaker driving in three runs and McElhaney two. Delia Custer added three singles and two RBIs.

Charlotte Taylor tallied two hits and four RBIs for Maranacook/Winthrop, and Ella Rice also collected two hits.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 13, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3 (5 INN.): An eight-run first inning started the Panthers (3-0) on their way to a five-inning win over the Patriots (0-4) in Gray.

Jordan Nash led NYA with three hits, including a double. Hayden Wienckowski, Cami Casserly and Brooklyn Goodman each had two hits, with Goodman driving in three runs. Lily Rawnsley drove in two runs and was the winning pitcher, striking out four while allowing four hits and three walks.

Maisie Lerette, the losing pitcher, collected two hits at the plate.

MT. ABRAM 6, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 5: Adrianna Stinchfield struck out 16 batters as the Roadrunners (1-1) scored enough runs early to edge the Falcons (0-3) in Salem Township.

Mt. Abram, playing as the away team on its home field, scored a run in the top of the first, and Mountain Valley answered to make it 1-1. It was 4-3 Roadrunners after two innings, then Mt. Abram scored two in the top of the third and Mountain Valley scored two in the bottom of the fourth.

Stinchfield allowed just one hit. Ari Dereszynksi had two singles and two RBIs for Mt. Abram, and Kate Hold had a double and an RBI.

Those were the only three hits allowed by Falcons pitcher Lanee Boucher, who struck out three batters. Hayden Chase had the lone hit for Mountain Valley.

BASEBALL
LISBON 14, TELSTAR 8: The Greyhounds scored four runs in the second inning and six runs in the fifth inning to lead them to victory over the Rebels in Lisbon.

Jacoby Tuplin and Jayden Camp each hit a double for Lisbon (2-2), Keeghan Morrisette scored three runs and Cody Osmond tallied two RBIs. Osmond and Jimmy Fitzsimmons each had two hits.

Brayden Decato was the winning pitcher for the Greyhounds, pitching two innings of relief and recording three strikeouts.

Connor Deprey tallied four hits and three RBIs for Telstar (1-2), and also pitched two innings for the Rebels, picking up three strikeouts.

POLAND 8, YORK 7: Winning pitcher Travis West also hit a grand slam in the second inning, and the Knights (2-2) held off the Wildcats (2-1) in Poland.

Adam Gwarjanski got the Knights started with a two-run homer in the first inning. Shawn West contributed a double.

Jack Joyce homered among his two hits for York. Bradley Carr, Lucas Ketchum and Henry Ober each hit a double.

OAK HILL 11, MARANACOOK 1 (6 INN.): Landen Denis pitched five innings and allowed one run on three hits, leading the Raiders to a six-inning victory over the Black Bears in Wales.

Trent Drouin hit a triple and scored two runs for Oak Hill (3-0).

Maranacook (2-1) lost for the first time this season.

MT. ABRAM 14, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 4 (6 INN.): Payton Mitchell struck out seven of the nine batters he faced for the Roadrunners, leading them to victory over the Falcons in Rumford.

Propelled by a five-run second inning, Mt. Abram (2-0) maintained the lead the entire game. Ash Rollins, Bear Rollins and Logan Dube each scored two runs.

Killian Pillsbury and Ash Rollins each tallied a double, and Bryce Wilcox and Bear Rollins each contributed a triple.

Kaden Paaso pitched one inning for Mountain Valley (0-3) but left with an injury. The Falcons recorded two hits against Mt. Abram pitching, scoring two runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings.

MT. BLUE 14, BRUNSWICK 4: The Cougars’ (1-1) top of the order, combined with the Dragons’ (1-3) mistakes led to a five-inning win in Brunswick.

Mt. Blue leadoff batter Gage DeCarolis had three hits and three RBIs, and No. 2 hitter Nolan Leso supplied two singles and a walk. Leso also pitched two hitless innings to start, striking out four and walking one. Dane Cousineau also pitched two hitless innings of relief, striking out three.

Brunswick was done in by eight errors. Starter Tyler Maxim only allowed two hits in three innings, and only three of the nine runs he gave up were earned, but the Cougars drew eight walks against him. A bright spot for the Dragons was Noah Gaghan, who doubled and drove in two runs. Liam Scholl had Brunswick’s other hit and also drove in a run.

GIRLS LACROSSE
BIDDEFORD 17, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 1: Abby Bouffard recorded 10 goals and three assists to power the Tigers (2-2) over the 26ers (0-2) in Biddeford.

Lilly Ouellette scored four goals, and Danielle Emerson tallied a goal and four assists.

Emma McMahon scored for GNG/Poland.

BOYS LACROSSE
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 9, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 8: Liam Street, Jack Bathe and Nick Pelletier each recorded two goals and an assist as the Panthers (3-1) edged the 26ers (0-3) in Yarmouth.

Zach Leinward also scored twice. Ethan Brochu rounded out the goal scoring for NYA.

Aries Plourde and Benjamin Powell led Gray-New Gloucester/Poland with three goals apiece. Talen Langevin and Noah Schaeffer added a goal apiece.
