NORWAY — Norway Equitable Housing Coop will host a public information session on Wednesday, May 22 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., at Norway Memorial Library.
Have you been watching the property at the corner of Whitman and Pearl change in the last year or so? Are you curious about what is planned for the site? Are you or someone you know looking for housing in Norway downtown? Join us for dessert and a public info session about the Norway Equitable Housing Cooperative.
Affordable, safe, energy-efficient housing is a critical need in our community. We are a small group of local renters and volunteers who have come together around a mission to create equitable, regenerative, cooperative housing in downtown Norway. We welcome your support of our effort to add 18 units of affordable, resident-owned, net zero housing units to our historic downtown, in support of workers and area businesses.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
