AREA — Community members are invited to participate in one of three discussions to be held on April 25, April 30, and May 2. These meetings will be facilitated by the Center for an Ecology-Based Economy, a Norway-based nonprofit, to collect input for the update to the state’s climate action plan, Maine Won’t Wait. Community members will have the opportunity to share their perspectives on topics ranging from natural hazard emergencies to alternative energy and more.

April 30, 5:30-7 p.m., at Buckfield Junior-Senior High School
May 2, 6-8 p.m., West Paris Ring-McKeen American Legion post 151
Light refreshments will be provided for in-person meetings, and compensation for participation is available upon request. Everyone is welcome, and youth involvement is encouraged. A survey, created by the University of Maine, is also available for those who are interested in providing input. Responses are due by April 30 for a chance to win a $5 Dunkin gift card.
