TURNER — Will Keach struck out 10 batters and only allowed one hit for Leavitt in a 15-0 five-inning baseball victory over Erskine Academy on Friday.

Keach also had a big game at the plate, driving in four runs with a double and two triples. Colten Taylor and Noah Carpenter also tallied three hits each for the Hornets (3-1), while Jace Negley and Trent Holst contributed two hits apiece.

Landen Blodgett had the Eagles’ (0-4) only hit.

MT. ABRAM 10, HALL-DALE 2: Logan Dube pitched five hitless innings during the Roadrunners’ victory over the Bulldogs in Strong.

Dube earned the win, his second of the season. Bryce Wilcox and Payton Mitchell also pitched an inning for Mt. Abram (3-0).

Wilcox tallied a triple and a single for the Roadrunners. Kaiden Longley added a double and Mitchell scored three runs.

Hall-Dale (1-2) scored one run in the sixth inning and one run in the seventh inning.

SACOPEE VALLEY 8, POLAND 2: Dylan Capano pitched a six-hitter with nine strikeouts and led the offense with a home run and a triple as the Hawks (2-1) defeated the Knights (2-3) in Hiram.

Alex Mains had two hits for Poland and Adam Gwarjanski doubled.

BANGOR 10, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Yates Emerson delivered two doubles and the Rams (3-1) shut out the Red Eddies (1-4) at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.

Gavin Glanville-True also had two hits for Bangor, which plated three runs in the bottom of the first and sandwiched single runs around a five-run third. Matt Turcotte and Landen Parizo combined on a one-hitter.

Owen Scott had the lone hit for Edward Little.

FREEPORT 6, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2: Ben Bolduc tallied three hits, including a pair of doubles, as the Falcons (4-0) defeated the Patriots (0-4) at Gray.

Liam Emmons went the distance on the mound, allowing one earned run on two hits, with 11 strikeouts and five walks. He also had two hits at the plate.

Griffin Richmond hit a solo home run for Gray-New Gloucester.

SOFTBALL
BUCKFIELD 12, SEARSPORT 1: Cora Brewster homered and drove in two runs, and the Bucks routed the Vikings in five innings in Buckfield.

Sophie St. Pierre tripled, drove in three runs and scored three runs for Buckfield (3-0). Cori Merrill doubled and Chloee Bennett contributed a pair of hits.

Lillian Sharples earned the win for the Bucks, striking out six batters in five innings.

Searsport pitcher Amelia Seekins also fanned six batters. Lily Nadeau tallied two hits and drove in a run.

DIRIGO 20, WINTHROP/MARANACOOK 0: The Cougars (2-0) put up 18 runs in the first inning and put away the Black Bears (1-3) in three innings in Dixfield.

Lana Waite pitched all three innings and held Maranacook/Winthrop hitless. She also hit a triple and had two RBIs.

Aleiah Ward and Nikole Turnbull each hit a home run and drove in five runs. Ward also had a double, as did Keira Reny.

EDWARD LITTLE 13, BANGOR 1: Alexis Kelsea led the Red Eddies with four hits, three RBIs and one run in a road win over the Rams in Bangor.

Mackenzie Grenier and Kylee Lebrun each tallied two hits, two runs and one RBI, and Leah Thibodeau added two hits, one RBI and one run for Edward Little (4-1).

Thibodeau also pitched for the Red Eddies, allowing four hits and striking out nine Bangor (0-3) batters.

Gabby Goding had an RBI double and Eva Coombs scored the Rams’ only run.

FREEPORT 18, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Vanessa St. Pierre went 4 for 4, drove in a run and scored three times as the Falcons (4-0) knocked out 15 hits and cruised past the Patriots (0-5) in a four-inning game at Gray.

Izzy George had three hits, including a pair of triples. Celia Cobb also recorded three hits, while Rosie Panenka and Lillian Larochelle added two hits apiece.

LEAVITT 11, ERSKINE 1: Maddy Dutil led the Hornets with two doubles and a triple during their win over the Eagles in Turner.

Nola Boutaugh chipped in a double for Leavitt (3-1), and pitchers Abby Albert and Hailey Turcotte held Erskine (0-4) to one run, with Albert pitching four innings and Turcotte two.

Kenzie Kutniewski and Lilly Clark each had two singles for Erskine.

MONMOUTH 14, TELSTAR 3: Shannah Parsons struck out 10 for the Mustangs in their five-inning victory in Bethel.

Hayli Paradis had two hits and drove in three runs for Monmouth (3-0), while Parsons and Isabella Lyons each hit a double.

Viv Charette finished with two RBIs for Telstar (1-4).

OXFORD HILLS 15, MT. ARARAT 0: The Vikings (4-1) outhit the Eagles 14-2 and scored in every inning of a mercy-rule victory in Topsham.

Winning pitcher Cameron Mayhan allowed only two hits.

Mayhan, Maddy Miller, Charlotte McGreevy and Kyeria Morse were repeat hitters for the Vikings, who got two runs in the first inning, two in the second, four in the third, and three in both the fourth and fifth.

Paige Bell and Lexie Dupre singled for Mt. Ararat (0-5).

ST. DOMINIC 18, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 3: A 12-run first inning started the Saints (1-1) on their way to a four-inning win over the Seagulls (0-2) in Old Orchard Beach.

Emily Andrews led the St. Dom’s offense with three doubles. Cassidy Russell finished with two doubles and five RBIs and Lily Fortin scored four runs. Sophia Franciose also hit two doubles.

Maddie Andrews was the winning pitcher, allowing three hits while striking out nine.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 18, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 6: The Phoenix plated seven runs in the top of the fifth and nine in the sixth to earn a six-inning mercy rule win over the Falcons at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.

Spruce Mountain (3-1) was scoreless through three innings and trailed 2-0 before scoring its first two runs in the fourth.

Leah Burgess tallied three hits, including a triple, and three RBIs, and Jaydn Pingree had two hits and drove in four runs for the Phoenix. Tyoaka Hodgkin, Samantha Hodgkin and Makiinlee Holt drove in two runs apiece, and Samantha Martin scored four runs.

Spruce Mountain pitcher Rylee Turner struck out 10 batters and earned the win.

Madisyn McLean tripled and singled for Mountain Valley. Brooke Brown doubled and Malorie Bourret also had a pair of hits.

HALL-DALE 12, MT. ABRAM 0: Ashlynn Donahue pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and also helped the Bulldogs’ (2-0) offense in a six-inning win over the Roadrunners (1-2) in Salem Township.

Donahue hit a double for Hall-Dale. Mira Skehan tripled and drove in two runs, Torie Tibbetts and Marie Benoit each tallied two hits and two RBIs, and Jade Graham drove in four runs.

Vega Rollins had the lone hit for Mt. Abram, and pitcherAdrianna Stinchfield struck out eight batters.

BOYS LACROSSE
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 7, CHEVERUS 6: Noah Schaeffer netted four goals to lead the 26ers (1-3) over the Stags (1-3) in Portland.

Asthen Golebiewski, Breck Langevin and Aries Plourde also scored for Gray-New Gloucester/Poland.

Quin Gleason led Cheverus with two goals. Nick Dube, Matt Hahn, Matt Paradis and Elijah Timlin chipped in one goal apiece.
