I have never been moved to write in support of a political candidate, until now. I am excited to support Bettyann Sheats for Senate District 20.

Even though I am an unenrolled voter, I feel strongly that having Bettyann represent me in Augusta is vitally important.

My father was a veteran, and I am thankful for all the work that Bettyann has does on behalf of our veterans. Bettyann, a veteran herself, is committed to advancing the needs of our vets particularly around health care.

As a community leader, Bettyann is knowledgeable about issues important to all of us. As a former legislator, she has the skills and experience necessary to represent District 20 and each of her constituents, no matter what their political affiliation.

I support Bettyann Sheats’ candidacy for Senate for District 20 and hope others will do the same.
