TURNER — Colten Taylor bunted home Trent Holst in the bottom of the seventh inning to send Leavitt past Lincoln Academy 5-4 in a KVAC baseball game Friday.
Noah Carpenter homered and doubled for the Hornets (6-1), and earned the pitching win in relief. Holst also hit a double.
Carson Hallowell tied the game for the Eagles (2-3) with an RBI single in the sixth. Aidan Bryant and Lucas Houghton each hit a double for the Eagles.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 7, SACOPEE VALLEY 5: Sammy Calder had three hits, including an RBI single in the fourth inning that helped the Mustangs (5-1) take the lead for good against the Hawks (5-2) in Monmouth.
Jacob Harmon had two hits and Carter O’Connell doubled and drove in two runs for Monmouth, which broke a 4-4 tie with two runs in the fourth. Kyle Palleschi pitched a complete game.
Brady Metcalf and James Ritter each recorded a double and a single for Sacopee Valley. Caleb Vacchiano also had two hits, and Dylan Capano struck out seven in six innings.
OXFORD HILLS 6, EDWARD LITTLE 2: The Vikings (5-2) scored two runs each in the fifth and sixth to pull away from the Red Eddies (2-6) in Paris.
Edward Little scored its runs in the first and second, but the Vikings countered with two runs in the bottom of the second.
Nick Binette collected two hits and scored twice for Oxford Hills, while Hunter Tardiff drove in two runs and Cam Pulkkinen doubled. Brady Truman pitched into the seventh, allowing two unearned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four.
Eli St. Laurent had two hits and an RBI for the Red Eddies. He took the loss on the mound despite giving up just three hits and striking out five. TJ Kramarz and Owen Scott had the other hits for Edward Little.
WELLS 9, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 7: Caleb Moody belted a two-run homer, and the Warriors (5-4) survived a three-run seventh-inning rally by the Patriots (1-7) at Gray.
Aydan Collins contributed a single and a double for Wells.
Nick Geer was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double and four RBI for Gray-New Gloucester. Kaiden Chase added a pair of hits, including a solo home run.
MARANACOOK 8, LISBON 0: Walker Dumas had two hits and four RBIs as the Black Bears (6-1) earned the win in Readfield.
Brandon Chilton also had two hits for Maranacook.
Black Bear pitchers Caldre Glowa and Kody Gaucher combined to throw a six-hitter.
Gerek Theriault had two hits for Lisbon (4-3).
SOFTBALL
LEAVITT 13, LINCOLN ACADEMY 3: Nola Boutaugh went 4 for 4 and Sam Deblois hit another home run in the Hornets’ five-inning victory over the Eagles in Turner.
Boutaugh had a triple, a double and two singles. Maddy Dutil (one double), Deblois, Hailey Cyr and Emily Poland each tallied two hits apiece.
Leavitt (6-1) pitchers Abby Albert and Cyr each allowed only one hit to Lincoln (2-4) batters.
ST. DOMINIC 9, MT. ABRAM 6: The Saints’ three-run bottom of the fourth was the difference in a win over the Roadrunners in Auburn.
St. Dom’s (6-1) scored four in the bottom of the first and Mt. Abram matched that in the top of the second. The Saints went up 6-4 in the third, only for the Roadrunners to tie it in the top of the fourth.
Lily Fortin had two hits, two RBIs and scored a run for St. Dom’s, and she was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts in five hitless innings of relief. Sophia Franciose also drove in two runs and Emily Andrews hit a triple.
Adrianna Stinchfield struck out 10 in six innings for Mt. Abram (1-4). Katelyn Holt had two of the Roadrunners’ three hits. Edna Bilodeau collected the other, along with an RBI and a run scored.
TELSTAR 9, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 4: Winning pitcher Viv Charette tallied a game-high three hits as the Rebels (2-6) defeated the Seagulls (0-6) in Old Orchard Beach.
Charette scattered six hits while striking out six. From the leadoff spot, she drove in two runs and scored a run. Mackenzie Eliot, Sarah Chase and Taejah Lego each had two hits, with Chase and Eliot collecting a double and a single. Eliot and Lego matched Charette with two RBI.
Hannah Webber struck out 12 for Old Orchard Beach. Kayla Townsend had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.
