Edward Little junior Izzy Hayes scored the 100th goal of her career last week.
The midfielder reached the milestone during the Red Eddies’ 13-11 girls lacrosse victory over St. Dom’s/Oak Hill on Saturday.
“Izzy, who serves as one of our captains, has demonstrated exceptional dedication, both on and off the field,” Edward Little coach Shaun McKinnon said. “Her commitment to improving her skills during the offseason is commendable, and she consistently performs at a high level on both offense and defense.”
Hayes added two more goals Monday night in the Red Eddies’ 15-2 loss to Morse (6-1). Aurora Martel made nine saves for Edward Little (2-6).
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 11, BONNY EAGLE 9: Amelia Foster scored five goals and scooped up six ground balls as the 26ers (2-5) narrowly beat the Scots (0-6) in Gray.
Hailey Carson and Laney Farrar had two goals and one assist each, Sam Poulin recorded one of each and Emma MacMahon also scored. Lilah Thompson made eight saves.
Zoey Lailer tallied a game-high six goals for Bonny Eagle, and Caroline Krunkkala added a hat trick.
PORTLAND 12, LEWISTON 10: Phoebe Knoll scored four goals as the Bulldogs (3-5) topped the Blue Devils (3-5) at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland.
Gabriella Harrigan and Lucy Susen each scored twice for Portland and Kristen Mailloux had four saves.
Kaitlyn Shannon scored three goals to lead Lewiston.
SOFTBALL
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 8, OAK HILL 7: After the Raiders (4-3) rallied in the late innings, the Phoenix (7-1) put an end to the MVC matchup by plating two runs in the bottom of the seventh for a walk-off win in Jay.
Spruce Mountain led 6-1 after four innings, but Oak Hill clawed back with one run each in the fifth and sixth, then a four-run top of the seventh to take a 7-6 lead.
Mallory Clark and Ashley Nelson each had three hits for the Phoenix, while Jaydn Pingree, Jazmine Pingree and Devin Bryant each delivered two.
Aubrey McElhaney, Delia Custer and Sierra Lane each had two hits, with both of McElhaney’s doubles.
BASEBALL
MT. ABRAM 12, DIRIGO 0: Bryce Wilcox threw a no-hitter for the Roadrunners, recording five strikeouts and one walk in five innings against the Cougars in Salem Township.
Payton Mitchell and Ash Rollins scored seven of the 12 Mt. Abram (6-2) runs. Mitchell singled twice and tripled once, Pillsbury singled twice and Ash Rollins singled twice.
Trevor Crosby, Dalton Hodgkins and Gage Lee all pitched for Dirigo.
