WALES — Aubrey McElhaney had three hits and drove in three runs to pace Oak Hill over Mountain Valley 13-12 in eight innings in a high-scoring MVC softball game Wednesday.

One of McElhaney’s hits was a double. Carlee Austin added a game-high four hits, including a double, and had two RBIs for the Raiders (5-5). Izzy Whitaker tallied a double and drove in two runs, and Saryn Blais had a double and two singles.

Alianna Mazza notched two doubles and four RBIs for the Falcons (1-9), while Hayden Chase doubled and drove in three runs, and Madison Blanchard and Madisyn McLean each contributed a double and an RBI.

BREWER 3, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Olivia Gilmore doubled and tripled in the Witches’ (7-5) win over the Red Eddies (6-6) in Auburn.

Olivia Bragdon singled in the first to drive home two runs for Brewer.

Mackenzie Grenier drilled two doubles for Edward Little, and Leah Thibodeau had a triple.

Sara Young struck out two in the circle for the Witches,while Kassidy Lobb sat down two for the Red Eddies.

BUCKFIELD 16, RICHMOND 5: Cora Brewster had three hits as the Bucks (9-1) earned the win in Richmond.

Amelia Hill, Alyssa Breton and Chloee Bennett tallied two hits apiece for Buckfield, while winning pitcher Lillian Sharples allowed seven hits.

Lisa Viselli homered for Richmond (6-6), and Breonna Dufresne and and Kaelyn Brillant had two hits each.

LEWISTON 11, MT. BLUE 3: Aubrey Peer hit a three-run home run and drove in five runs to power the Blue Devils through the Cougars in Farmington.

Peer’s three-run homer came in the sixth inning. She also brought in a run on a sacrifice fly and another on a bases-loaded walk.

Isabelle Enos tallied two hits, two runs and two RBIs and Juliet Philippon had two hits, three runs and an RBI for Lewiston (6-6). Ava Dionne, who hit a double, struck out seven batters in six innings in the circle.

Mt. Blue (3-8) pitcher Leah Merrill recorded 12 strikeouts. Leah Michaud had a double and a single and Chloe Maberry finished with two hits for the Cougars.

OXFORD HILLS 13, MT. ARARAT 0: Kyeria Morse produced more offense than she allowed in the Vikings’ five-inning victory over the Eagles in Paris.

Morse pitched a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts. She also belted a three-run home run in Oxford Hills’ five-run first inning.

Maddy Miller contributed an RBI double for the Vikings (12-1), and Attie Campbell hit a two-run single.

Paige Bell had the only hit of the game for Mt. Ararat (1-11).

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 13, TELSTAR 2: Makinlee Holt led the Phoenix with two hits and three RBIs in their victory over the Rebels in Bethel.

Holt doubled and singled. She also scored two runs. Rylee Turner and Malory Clark each had a double and two hits, while Jaydn Pingree doubled and drove in two runs and Tyoaka Hodgkin drove in a pair of runs and scored two.

Turner pitched all seven innings for Spruce Mountain (10-1), striking out five and allowing five hits and two walks.

Telstar (2-7) pitcher Maylyn Hastings struck out four batters in seven innings. Hayley Smith drove in a run and had one of the Rebels’ five singles.

YORK 13, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3: Maddie Fitzgerald hit for the cycle, and McKayla Kortes also had four hits, as the Wildcats (11-0) pounded out 18 hits in a win over the Patriots (0-11) at Gray.

Fitzgerald drove in three runs, Kortes hit three doubles, and winning pitcher Sarah Orso contributed three hits. Orso recorded 11 strikeouts.

Maisie Lerette hit a single and a double for Gray-New Gloucester.

BASEBALL
TELSTAR 11, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 3: Brody Walker’s pitching and hitting led the Rebels to a victory over the Phoenix in Bethel.

Walker earned the win on the mound, and at the plate he tallied two singles and an RBI.

Connor Deprey hit a bases-loaded double and drove in three runs for Telstar (3-7), and Nick Zolad had two singles.

Griffin Achorn hit a pair of singles for Spruce Mountain (2-9).

MONMOUTH 15, DIRIGO 4: Noah Schultz’s four hits and three RBIs pace the Mustangs in their MVC win over the Cougars in Dixfield.

Sammy Calder hit a two-run triple and finished with four RBIs for Monmouth (9-1). Jake Harmon, Kyle Palleschi and Rory Foyt each had a double, and Calder, Jake Harmon (two RBIs) and Luke Harmon all tallied two hits. Luke and Jake Harmon also scored three runs apiece.

Kyle LePage and Isaac Cote split time on the mound for Monmouth. LePage struck out four batters in three innings and Cote fanned four in two innings.

Dirigo’s (0-10) Anthony Smith singled and drove in two runs, Caden Hutchinson had two hits and Ethan Olsen tripled.

Smith pitched for the Cougars, striking out five in 3 2/3 innings.

OAK HILL 10, WINTHROP 3: Cooper Spencer and Landen Denis each had three RBIs in the Raiders’ (8-3) win over the Ramblers (5-6) in Wales.

Spencer had three singles and Denis had one, and Landon Bangs tripled for Oak Hill.

Raiders pitcher Trent Drouin went the distance for the win, only giving up two earned runs while striking out 11 and allowing eight hits. He also had two singles and a RBI at the plate.

Will Grant doubled and singled for Winthrop, Finn Barrett had two singles.

CAPE ELIZABETH 11, POLAND 1: Brady Inman struck out 12 and allowed only one hit over six innings as the Capers (7-5) defeated the Knights (7-5) in Cape Elizabeth.

Charlie Song powered Cape’s 16-hit attack with a home run, a single and three RBI. Jameson Bryant had three hits, while Anthony Choi, Gabe Harmon, Max Hayward, Jimmy Hallowell and Caiden Johnson all had two.

Poland’s Sam Paladino doubled and scored a run.

SACOPEE VALLEY 10, LISBON 1: Dylan Capano threw a no-hitter, striking out 11 and walking four, to lead the Hawks (7-3) over the Greyhounds (6-5) at Hiram.

Brady Metcalf was 3 for 4 with three RBI, and Caleb Vacchiano and Bradley Metcalf each added two hits.

YORK 15, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 9: Brody Gullison went 4 for 5, with a pair of home runs and six RBIs as the Wildcats (8-3) outslugged the Patriots (2-9) in Gray.

Griffin Richmond, Jake Machino and Isaac Ormberg each had a double and a single for Gray-New Gloucester.

ST. DOMINIC 7, TRAIP 6: The Saints (10-0) scored the tying and go-ahead runs in the bottom of the sixth as they rallied past the Rangers (5-6) in Auburn.

Sean Webster recorded two hits and two RBI for Traip. Owen McNamara also had two hits.

EDWARD LITTLE 8, BREWER 4: A six-run second inning carried the Red Eddies (5-7) to a Class A North win over the Witches (5-7) at Central Maine Community College in Auburn.

Eli St. Laurent pitched 6 1/3 innings to earn the win. He struck out six batters and allowed two earned runs. Kade Masselli pitched the final 2/3 of an inning.

St. Laurent also had two of Edward Little’s eight hits. One of those was a double. Ben DuBois and TJ Kramarz each tripled, while Breccan Albert drove in two runs and Peyton Dyer and Dubois both scored two runs.

Logan Littlefield hit home run, a two-run shot in the sixth inning, and had a double, a single and three RBIs for Brewer. Jake Perry added a triple.
