OAKLAND — A seven-run fourth inning propelled Edward Little a 10-5 victory over Messalonskee in a Class A North softball contest Wednesday.

Mackenzie Grenier had two hits, including a triple, and drove in a pair of runs for the Red Eddies (8-6). Izzy Jalbert led Edward Little with three hits, while Leah Thibodeau and Naomi Valcin added two hits apiece, Kylee Lebrun doubled., and Emily Horton had one hit and three RBIs.

Lexi Bayne had three hits for the Eagles (9-5), while Payton Alexander had two hits, including a double.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 13, TELSTAR 8: The Falcons started off hot with a five-run first inning and rolled past the Rebels.

Lanee Boucher pitched seven innings for Mountain Valley (3-10) and struck out nine batters while allowing only three hits.

Alianna Mazza led the Falcons with three runs, two hits and two RBIs, and Mallorie Bourrett scored four runs.

Makenzie Eliot struck out five batters in four innings of relief for Telstar (2-10). Viv Charette, Karen Marshall and Taejah Lego each had a hit for the Rebels.

ST. DOMINIC 6, VALLEY 3: Lily Fortin tossed a one-hitter and added a home run as the Saints (10-5) won in Bingham.

Fortin struck out eight batters. Sophia Franciose helped out offensively with two hits, including a triple.

Madeline Hill allowed seven hits and struck out six batters for Valley (7-6). She also had the Cavaliers’ lone hit.

HALL-DALE 8, DIRIGO 0: Ashlyn Donahue led the Bulldogs with nine strikeouts, one walk and zero runs in the win over the Cougars in Dixfield.

Jade Graham had a double for Hall-Dale (11-2) and Mira Skehan and Marie Benoit were repeat hitters.

Lana Waite pitched for Dirigo (8-3) and had a triple.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 5, LEAVITT 4: The Panthers scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh to earn their second one-run win of the season over the Hornets in a showdown of Class B South contenders in Turner.

A two-run home run by Medomak Valley’s (12-2) Claudia Feeley in the sixth inning tied the game, then Haley Puchalksi singled home the winning run in the seventh.

The Panthers defeated Leavitt 8-7 on May 6 in Waldoboro.

Sam Deblois had two hits and two RBIs for the Hornets (11-3). Abby Albert and Emily Poland also tallied two hits, and Hailey Turcotte had a double.

SKOWHEGAN 2, OXFORD HILLS 0: The River Hawks avenged their only loss of the season by beating the Vikings in Paris.

Arabel Linkletter drove in Carlie Jarvis for Skowhegan’s (13-1) first run in the fourth inning, and Natalie Gilman brought in Annabelle Morris for an insurance run in the sixth.

River Hawks pitcher Lillian Noyes earned the win by striking out five and scattering six hits over seven innings.

Oxford Hills’ Kyeria Morse also went the distance, fanning eight and giving up four hits. Charlotte McGreevy tallied a game-best two hits for Oxford Hills.

WELLS 16, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Savannah Tardiff went 4 for 4 with a home run and five RBIs, and Kylie Corbett was 3 for 4 day with a double, a triple, three runs scored and three RBI as the Warriors (9-6) beat the Patriots (0-14) in a four-inning game at Wells.

Payton Fazzina joined Corbett and Tardiff with multiple hits for Wells. Delani Brown blasted a home run and picked up the win in the circle, notching six strikeouts.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 11, MT. ABRAM 1: Makinlee Holt led the Phoenix with three hits, a double, two runs and two RBIs in a victory over the Roadrunners in Jay.

Devin Bryant also had a double for Spruce Mountain (12-2), and Rylee Turner chipped in two RBIs and also pitched a complete game.

Vega Rollins, Edna Bilodeau and Adrianna Stinchfield each logged a hit for Mt. Abram (3-9).

BASEBALL
FRYEBURG 2, POLAND 1: Ethan Lord pitched six innings, striking out six and scattering eight hits, leading the Raiders to a one-run victory over the Knights in Poland.

Poland (7-8) pitcher Adam Gwarjanski struck out 11 Fryeburg Academy hitters, only giving up six hits and one earned run.

The Raiders (7-8) scored their runs in the third inning on a hard ground ball by Alex Allain that the Knights couldn’t field cleanly.

Alex Mains had two hits and an RBI for Poland. Gwarjanski and Landon Cooper also had two hits apiece.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 9, TELSTAR 6: Colby Frisbie drove in four runs on three hits as the Falcons outlasted the Rebels in a Mountain Valley Conference contest.

Frisbie spearheaded a three-run first for Mountain Valley (5-7) with a two-run triple. He also singled home a run in the Falcons’ three-run fourth and capped the scoring with an RBI double in the sixth.

Seneca Jones also had three hits for Mountain Valley, and Kaden Paaso finished with two.

Wyatt Lily led Telstar (4-9) with two hits.

OXFORD HILLS 4, SKOWHEGAN 0: Brady Truman tossed a four-hit shutout, leading the Vikings over the River Hawks in South Paris.

Colton Jendrick tallied one RBI and Cam Pulkkinen had two hits for Oxford Hills (10-5).

Chance Tibbetts had two hits for Skowhegan (9-5).

WELLS 2, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Gage Sargent pitched a five-hitter and drove in a run to lead the Warriors (8-6) over the Patriots (2-12) in Wells.

Seth Espling took the loss despite allowing only five hits and one earned run.

MT. ABRAM 10, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Bryce Wilcox pitched a no-hitter and drove in two runs in the Roadrunners’ (9-4) road win over the Phoenix (2-12) in Livermore Falls.

Payton Mitchell led off the game with a double for Mt. Abram, which scored two runs in the first. The Roadrunners broke the game open with three runs in the sixth and four in the seventh.

Kaiden Longley also drove in two runs and hit two singles, Ash Rollins hit a triple and a single, and Logan Dube delivered a double.

Griffin Achorn was dealt the loss for Spruce Mountain.
