FARMINGTON — An engineer from Embden has been hired as road supervisor for the unorganized territory in Franklin County.
Robert “Bob” Lightbody, the sole proprietor of the engineering firm Maine Highlands Development, was one of two applicants for the position, County Administrator Amy Bernard announced Tuesday.
Lightbody’s starting salary is $60,000 a year, Bernard wrote in an email Thursday, and will start next week by reviewing roads.
He succeeds Mike Pond of Strong, who was hired in September 2020 and plans to retire June 30.
