OXFORD — Rep. Caldwell Jackson (R-Oxford) recently recognized the Oxford Hills Middle School Cheerleaders during their monthly recognition assembly on May 8, 2024.
The public recognition came in the form of a Legislative Sentiment from the 131st Maine Legislature and the People of Maine. Sponsored by Rep. Jackson, the official Sentiment recognized “the Oxford Hills Middle School Cheering Team of South Paris for First Place at the Oxford Hills Cheer Invitational. The Oxford Hills Middle School Vikings reached Superstar level of the Middle School Division on March 9, 2024.”
“The Vikings have a long tradition of representing our area through regional and state competitions,” said Rep. Jackson. “I am so pleased to be able to share the accomplishments of these young ladies with the people of Maine through legislative recognition. Taking first place at the Oxford Hills Cheer Invitational and reaching Superstar level at the Middle School Division is a character-building experience that will serve them well going forward.”
