HIRAM — Winning pitcher Shannah Parsons hit a game-tying two-run homer in the seventh, and Bella Lyons doubled in the go-ahead run as Monmouth rallied to defeat Sacopee Valley in a Class C South softball contest Saturday.

The Mustangs (12-2) scored four runs in the top of the seventh to overcome a 3-1 deficit against the Hawks (7-8), who on Wednesday dealt North Yarmouth Academy its first loss of the season.

Parsons scattered six hits and struck out 11 batters to earn the win in the circle. Teammate Rileigh Chase contributed two hits.

Charlotte Cyr took the loss for Sacopee Valley (7-8).
