Evan Houk
NORWAY — The Advertiser Democrat a Maine Trust for Local News paper, is excited to welcome Evan Houk to its team as a staff writer. Houk joins the Advertiser from an Ohio newspaper but he began his career at the Lincoln County News in Newcastle. He worked for The Morning Sentinel before moving to the Pennsylvania/Ohio area.
“Evan wanted to move back to Maine and be part of a hyper-local news team, so he has joined us and we are thrilled to have him,” said Western Maine Weeklies Managing Editor A. M. Sheehan. A graduate of Youngstown State University, Houk has had over five years experience in covering town government, education and local news and won awards for his journalism.
Houk will have Norway, Paris, West Paris and county government as his “beat.”
