Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
BOSTON — Owen Mitchell of Lewiston has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Mitchell is pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy. He plans to graduate from the Boston campus in 2027.
The dean’s list recognizes those students with a full-time course load who have achieved outstanding scholarship with a 3.5 GPA or higher for the academic term.
Hartwick College
ONEONTA, N.Y. — Nicholas Tirrell of Turner was named to the spring dean’s list at Hartwick College.
Tirrell majored in Business Administration and Sociology.
To qualify, students must complete at least 12 academic credits during a term with a grade point average of at least 3.50 and no incompletes.
Bismarck State College
BISMARCK, N.D. — Adam Desrosiers of Winthrop graduated from Bismarck State College with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Management during the college’s 84th commencement ceremony May 10 at the Bismarck Event Center.
Montclair State University
MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Bailey Michaud of Lewiston has been named to the spring dean’s list at Montclair State University. Michaud is a Dance major.
To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Pennsylvania Western University
CALIFORNIA, CLARION AND EDINBORO, Edinboro, Pa. — Two local students received masters degrees from Pennsylvania Western University on May 4.
Rebecca Lapata of Lewiston, who studied at PennWest’s Global Online campus, earned a Master of Business Administration.
Kristin Arsenault of Mexico, who also studied at the online campus, earned a Master of Science in Information and Library Science.
Elmira College
ELMIRA, N.Y. — Elmira College’s 2024 Key Award was given to 831 students in 17 states. A tradition that goes back to 1935, the award is presented to outstanding students in their junior year of high school or preparatory school.
Students included Lauren Landry of Lewiston, Islah Godo of Topsham, Laney Farrar of Gray, and Violet Vincent of Auburn.
Recipients receive an $88,000 scholarship over a four-year period, $22,000 per year, upon enrolling at Elmira College.
Emerson College
BOSTON — Kailey Pelletier from Readfield received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Stage and Production Management on May 12 from Emerson College. The 144th Commencement was held at Agganis Arena.
Western New England University
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Two local students have been named to the spring semester president’s list at Western New England University.
Brianne Dube of Lewiston is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies/OTD.
Ava Cariddi of Gray is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in Finance.
Meanwhile, Nathan Miller of Winthrop has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Western New England University.
Students are named to the dean’s list for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

Kahryn Cullenberg of Chesterville graduated with a major in environmental studies and gender and sexuality Ssudies.
Cullenberg was also granted the Bates Senior Scholar Award, an honor bestowed upon graduating seniors who have participated in varsity sports for four years and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above.
Molly Harmon of Farmington graduated with a major in sociology and earth and climate sciences.
Harmon was also granted the Bates Senior Scholar Award, an honor bestowed upon graduating seniors who have participated in varsity sports for four years and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above.
Simon McCormick of Whitefield graduated with a major in psychology.

Zuis received the Dana Scholar Award, the highest honor Bates bestows on students in their first year. Zuis graduates a member of Phi Beta Kappa, an organization recognized as conferring the highest undergraduate academic honors and as the oldest Greek letter society in the U.S.
Roger Williams University
BRISTOL, R.I. — Garrett McLaughlin of South Paris and Delaney Meserve of Waterford received their degrees in May as part of the Class of 2024 at Roger Williams University.
McLaughlin graduated with a Master of Architecture degree.

APPLETON, Wis. — Gwen Martin of Topsham graduated June 9 from Lawrence University at a commencement held on the university’s Main Hall Green.
Martin also made the 2023-24 dean’s list at the university.
The dean’s list is an annual honor roll of students demonstrating exemplary academic performance. The list is compiled at the end of the academic year once all grades have been recorded. For a student to be included on the dean’s list, the student must have earned at least 36 units in Lawrence courses during the academic year (Lawrence courses include courses taken on the Appleton campus or in a Lawrence-sponsored or affiliated off-campus program) and have earned a GPA of at least 3.500 in those courses, with no unsatisfactory grades.

WORCESTER, Mass. — Three local students were named to the 2023-24 spring semester dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement at College of the Holy Cross.

BOSTON — Emerson College student Kailey Pelletier of Readfield participated in Emerson Stage’s production of “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812” from April 18-20 at the Cutler Majestic Theatre. Written by Dave Malloy, directed by M. Bevin O’Gara, with music direction by Sariva Goetz and choreographed by Christopher Shin, “The Great Comet” is an electropop opera based on a portion of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace.
Pelletier is majoring in Stage and Production Management and is a member of the class of 2024.
Western New England University
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Brianne Dube of Lewiston was welcomed into Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society on April 19 at the Western New England University chapter’s annual induction ceremony.
Omicron Delta Kappa is a national leadership honor society that recognizes and encourages achievement in scholarship, athletics, campus or community service, social and religious activities, as well as campus government, journalism, speech and the mass media, and creative and performing arts.
Dube is working toward a degree in Doctor of Occupational Therapy.
Hamilton College
CLINTON, N.Y. — Two local students were named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College.
They are Sarah Morgan of Auburn, a sophomore and a graduate of Waynflete School; and Scott Turney of Kents Hill, a sophomore and a graduate of Kents Hill School.
To be named to the list, a student must have carried a course load of four or more graded credits throughout the semester and earned an average GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Kristina Cornelio of Auburn completed four years of academic, physical and professional military training, and graduated May 24 from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering and a commission as a U.S. Navy Ens. She is a graduate of The Taft School in Watertown, Conn.
At the academy Cornelio was a member of the Naval Academy Women’s Club Hockey Team. She was also Company Commander of the 14th Company last fall.
Cornelio is the daughter of Mark and Kathleen Cornelio of Auburn.

EASTON, Mass. — Lucy Frenette of Lewiston, a member of Stonehill College’s class of 2025, was honored at the institution’s Student Life Awards, held April 28. Each year, this program celebrates campus community members for their outstanding contributions to the betterment of Stonehill.
Jacques Ouellette of Lewiston, a member of Stonehill College’s class of 2024, was recently inducted into Lambda Epsilon Sigma, the institution’s academic honor society. The organization recognizes outstanding juniors and seniors who have demonstrated an excitement for both learning and sharing their knowledge.
Joining 23 other students from Stonehill College’s DECA chapter, Lucas Pushard of Auburn, a member of the class of 2025, recently participated in the International Career Development Conference in Austin, Texas. Stonehill students faced off against more than 200 schools in competitive case study events designed to prepare them to become leaders and entrepreneurs.
