NORWAY — The 2024 theme for the children’s Summer Reading Program at the Norway Memorial Library is “Read Renew Repeat” with a focus on conservation and protecting the environment. This is also the year for the Summer Olympics in Paris, France. So, in the spirit of these two events, Norway Memorial Library invites adults to participate in a summer challenge.
Please stop by the Information Desk starting July 8 to pick up an entry form. Each entry form has four types of books to read and four activities to complete. Depending on how many “events” are completed, “sweet medals” are awarded to each participant. Entries are due by Friday, August 30, at 5 p.m.
Norway Memorial Library is located at 258 Main Street, Norway, Maine. For more information, call 207-743-5309 or visit www.norwaymemoriallibrary.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
