Fireworks are an annual Fourth of July tradition in the United States, but not everyone looks forward to them. Are you one of those people who wish the nation could find a less explosive way of celebrating its independence?
Some people have anxiety over the noise and flashes. Some people have pets who suffer mightily during the season. And then there are the environmental issues, particularly on many Maine lakes where fireworks debris can wash up for days after.
