100 Years Ago: 1924
The clairvoyant who came to Wilton on Monday to assist in the search for Edward Young of Dryden, did not succeed in locating the missing man. At three different places the clairvoyant pointed toward the old ball ground but a search of the locality failed to give any clue.
The Goodspeed employees joined in the hunt Monday, the mill being closed
One story going the rounds is to the effect that Mr. Young evidently returned to the house and got his cane.
50 Years Ago: 1974
Monday marked the opening of Maine’s second York Steakhouse, bringing to seven the total of York’s units in New England. The steakhouse, which is located at the Lewiston Mall on Lisbon Street, is under the supervision of Frank Priest of South Portland, general manager.
