ANSWER: High Street Congregational Church, UCC is at 106 Pleasant St. in Auburn. This is a great opportunity to find a new job before the holidays.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: With the 9/11 anniversary coming up, I was wondering if there are any organizations observing that day anywhere in Maine. I saw on the Veterans Administration page that the closest place seemed to be a cemetery in Massachusetts.
Every time I have a question, I know the first place to go. Thanks Sun Spots for always being there. The column is the first thing I read every day in the newspaper. — No name, no town
ANSWER: Check with your local schools and churches, as well as with your municipal office. I went to https://www.maine.gov/ but there weren’t any special announcements there.
Bring your flag to half-staff, light a candle, and gather loved ones together for a shared meal. Perhaps some of our readers will know of a nearby observance. I also encourage you to create your own personal remembrance for those who lost their lives on that horrific day, Sept. 11, 2001.
